Rita Ferrando is a Canadian-Argentinian filmmaker.
Her work places particular focus on the female experience, employing experimental and documentary strategies to explore themes of intimacy, permanence and memory, along with the analysis of language, archive, and poetry. Her films, installations and other projects have been widely exhibited at festivals, museums and galleries internationally, including her most recent short film Pleasure Garden (2022) which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Ferrando's films have screened at: Toronto International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Beijing International Short Film Festival, True/False Film Festival, Festival 25 FPS, MDFF, Intersección Contemporary Audiovisual Art Festival and Winnipeg Underground Festival.
